Master of Arts in Philosophy: the accelerated program for undergraduates
Philosophy
majors maintaining at least a 3.0 QPA can apply at the end of their junior year
for provisional acceptance into the M.A. Philosophy Program.
If accepted, students are allowed to take two M.A. courses in the senior
year. The credit for these courses
is applied to their undergraduate degree and also toward their Master of Arts
degree. This reduces by two the
number of courses that have to be completed for the M.A. and makes it possible
for students to complete their course work for the M.A. with only two semesters
of full-time graduate study.
